**About the Role and Why It’s Unique:**
– Monitor real-time feeds for injury news, lineup information, and practice reports.
– React promptly to news to power the Underdog Twitter feeds (@Underdog__NFL).
– Produce comprehensive blurbs with actionable takeaways for each news item.
– Ensure our admin resources are accurate and up-to-date.
– Collaborate with the Director of Sports Information on strategic decisions.
– Report and plan team coverage weekly.
– Lead team meetings, set agendas, and develop editorial plans and strategies.
– Assist the team with various tasks as needed.
**Who You Are:**
– Have 4+ years of experience covering the NFL.
– Experience running a news account.
– Self-motivated with a quick learning ability and attention to detail.
– Passionate about breaking news.
– Willingness to work nights and weekends around the sports calendar.
– Possess extensive NFL knowledge.
– Ability to process a large amount of information at once in a timely manner.
**Even Better if You Have:**
– Experience as a Team Lead.
– Experience with TweetDeck.
**Our Targeted Compensation:**
– $68,000 to $85,000, depending on experience, plus equity. Exceptional skills? Apply anyway! We’re open to negotiation if we agree.
