Job Description: Billing Resolution Specialist
Position Type: Full-Time Employee
Exemption Status: Non-Exempt
Location: Remote
Hours: 12:00pm-9:00pm EST
Pay: $18.75/hr
Role Overview: As a Billing Resolution Specialist, you play a pivotal role in resolving patient billing queries and addressing Care Center staff inquiries with compassion and attentiveness. Your responsibilities include researching incoming patient calls, utilizing our database to reconcile billing discrepancies, and ensuring transparent communication for all billing and payment-related concerns. Additionally, you will provide support to our Care Centers.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Handle high-volume inbound phone calls from patients via a cloud-based phone system.
- Educate patients on financial responsibilities, including deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.
- Collect patient balances adhering to Privia financial policy guidelines.
- Research and resolve patient billing queries using the athena EMR database.
- Meet all call center productivity and quality standards effectively.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required.
- 1+ year of full-time experience in a call center customer service environment preferred; remote work experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in G-Suite products.
- Availability to work an 8-hour shift between 12pm – 9pm EST, Monday through Friday.
- Access to a secure, quiet workspace with a direct high-speed internet connection for remote work.
- Familiarity with HIPAA rules and regulations.

Additional Information:
- Colorado, New York, New Jersey, California, and Washington Residents Only: The base pay for this role is $18.75/hr, exclusive of bonuses or benefits, determined based on factors like experience, education, and location.
- Technical Requirements for Remote Workers: Minimum internet speed of 5 MBPS for Download and 3 MBPS for Upload. Employees working remotely may be eligible for expense reimbursement to offset this cost.
