Description:
The Data Verification Specialist plays a crucial role in our bill review department, handling all clerical functions related to mail, medical bill preparation, scanning, data entry, and verification. This remote position is vital for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our bill review process.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Validate incoming data in the Bill Review system.
- Identify and apply customer-specific rules and processes.
- Maintain consistent communication with the supervisor regarding the status of Data Verification queues and workload.
- Assist with various clerical duties as assigned in the bill review department.
- Adhere to all safety rules and regulations during work hours in conjunction with the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
- Perform additional duties as required.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload with minimal direction.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft applications.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a professional office environment preferred.
Pay Range:
CorVel uses a market-based approach to pay, and our salary ranges may vary depending on your location. Pay rates are determined by factors including federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements, geographic location, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, internal employee equity, and market conditions. Our ranges may be modified at any time.
For leveled roles (I, II, III, Senior, Lead, etc.), new hires may be placed in a different level based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role, which may impact the salary range. These adjustments will be clarified during the offer process.
Pay Range: $12.77 – $22.36 per hour
