About the Position

The Recovery Coach provides essential peer recovery support services to clients with opioid use disorder. As the primary contact point between clients and their Bicycle Health care team, this role involves video conferencing, phone, and chat interactions. The Recovery Coach meets with clients monthly, documents visits, offers peer support, and reviews recovery goals. Additionally, they facilitate support groups and provide care coordination services. This role is crucial for delivering holistic care, supporting multiple care systems and frameworks. The Recovery Coach motivates and advocates for clients and collaborates closely with medical and behavioral health clinicians.

Location: Remote

Target Pay Range: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour
Compensation will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market data alignment.

Available Schedules:

  • Monday – Friday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM PT / 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM MT (PT or MT applicants only)
  • Monday – Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM ET / 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM PT

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact point for established clients in the Bicycle Health program.
  • Meet with assigned clients at least once per month before their medical visit, review and document concerns, and provide peer support focused on treatment goals.
  • Document visits in the electronic health record in real-time, ensuring documentation is suitable to guide the following medical provider visit.
  • Use panel management tools to monitor client progress and engage them to meet goals outside of scheduled medical visits. Record progress toward treatment goals and ensure participation in offered services.
  • Engage clients in conversations and education about substance use, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery.
  • Provide information to clients about community support, online support, and other relevant resources to support their treatment and recovery goals.
  • Identify barriers to full participation in the Bicycle Health program and communicate these barriers to the appropriate clinical team members to address them.
  • Utilize the Motivational Interviewing framework in all client encounters.
